Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so we do not claim full conformance.

What we have done

  • The speed test works fully with a keyboard. Every control is a standard, labelled button.
  • Test progress and final results are announced to screen readers, and every measurement is available as text, not only in the gauge.
  • Results never rely on colour alone: verdicts use words and symbols as well as colour.
  • Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast levels in both light and dark themes.
  • Animations are minimal and are switched off if your system asks for reduced motion.
  • The layout adapts to small screens and to browser zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling of the page.
  • Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and a "Skip to content" link.

Known limitations

  • The gauge is a visual aid. Screen-reader users get the same information from the metrics list and announcements instead.
  • If advertising is shown, ads are provided by a third party and may not meet the same standards.
  • Some external sites we link to may not be accessible.
